Pengotan Village, Bangli, is an old village located in a popular tourism area. It is unique and has cultural artifacts supported with local wisdom and deep culture. Pengotan also has potential in strategic farming and agriculture. Those potentials bring high economic, cultural, environmental, and social value to this village, as long as its resources are managed based on community development, participatory, and sustainable development principles.
As an initial process to that plan, Pengotan village has formulated its strategic plan, especially in village resource management. The strategic plan contains its vision, mission, identification of strength-weakness-opportunity-challenges, and strategic program activity. The resulting document has the consensus of the community as they were involved in each step of it’s creation. Before compiling the strategic plan, first we took inventory of the existing natural, human and social and cultural resources.
